Dr. Kathryn Dewey appointed for Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine

The Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine welcomes Dr. Kathryn Dewey for a three-year term starting from 2017 to 2020.

Established in 1940, the Food and Nutrition Board studies issues on a national and global level influencing both the policy makers and the public. Their tasks involve examining the nation’s nutritional well-being, providing guidance of adequate dietary intake, and examining the relationships among food intake, nutrition and health.

Dr. Dewey’s expertise in community and international nutrition will prove to be a valuable asset for the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine as it strives to influence policy makers and the public at a national and global level.
