UC Davis Plant Sciences Department recruiting for faculty position focused on connecting agriculture to nutrition

The Department of Plant Sciences in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) at the University of California, Davis is recruiting an Assistant/Associate Professor of Crop Improvement for Human and Animal Nutrition. The position is one of three positions sought to explore critical linkages between food production, food consumption, and nutrition of animals and human populations. This is an academic year (9-month), tenure track, Assistant/Associate Professor position that includes the expectation of mission-oriented research and outreach relevant to the California Agricultural Experiment Station (AES).

The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with existing departmental colleagues with expertise in soil, water and atmospheric sciences and specifically with other colleagues in the Animal Science, Plant Sciences and Nutrition departments as part of the College Integrated Research and Education (CIRE-1) proposal entitled “Strengthening the Linkages between Agriculture and Nutrition.
